Made in Europe from highest grade 7075-T6 aluminium from the world’s leading aluminium manufacturer Aleris of Germany, supplier of the same material to Airbus, Boeing, Audi and the aerospace industry.
Why the “Rotational” grooves in the lower of the sprocket’s teeth? Hours & hours of R&D testing aluminium sprockets, it was found that the standard cleaning groves where not really that effective. To much dirt/mud was going through the driveline shorting the sprocket's life, and some of this was due to sprockets clearing notches being blocked by chain links when in use. To help fix this problem the “Rotational” Self-Cleaning Groove was developed. This “Rotational" design provides a directional track for the unwanted damaging mud/dirt to be pulled away from the high wear working sprocket-chain contact area. Therefore, not only increasing the sprockets teeth life span, also helping to extend the chains life.
