The cooling slots in the Honda Speedline disc brake rotors are a special directional tear-drop diagonal design which helps keep pad-rotor wear and operating temperatures low.  

Each Honda brake rotor is made from 420 non-corrosive stainless steel from Japan. Special treatment & machining processes ensure rotors are perfectly flat and high in co-efficient friction which minimises wear on pad-rotor contact, no matter what type of brake pad material in used. A precise heat-treatment process is used which stops heat wrapping and stress cracking when in use.
